Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and its use in Cancer Treatment

Decisions about your treatment do not have to be made immediately. Cancer doesn’t develop overnight. According to “The Cancer Revolution: A Groundbreaking Program to Reverse and Prevent Cancer” by Dr. Leigh Ann Connealy, MD, “it takes ten to twelve years on average for a single cancer cell to eventually multiply to where it becomes a full-grown tumor in the body.” (p. 14).

One of the podcasts I found before we ever decided to seek care at the Cancer Center for Healing in Irvine CA, was Episode 54 with Dr. Daniel Roney, DC titled “Our Integrative, 4 Pillar Approach to Cancer.” This podcast changed EVERYTHING for me. Dr. Roney provided such a tone and message of hope, but he also categorically gave a roadmap for how to approach cancer in which you may use both integrative and traditional (standard of care) treatments.

In an age where most of our population has a smartphone, and thus the computing power to search and learn about a topic in a matter of seconds, Lyndsay and I continue to find ourselves sharing our stories of “alternative” or “integrative” medicine and health, with the constant follow-up questions of “what does integrative mean?” or “why haven’t we heard of this?”
